We bought the Suzuki SV650SFK8 in September 2008 and within a month or so Winter set in so we were not able to get in as much riding as we would have liked to but we survived. Now the luggage is on and the bike is setup as I want it as a sport/tourer we intend to get out on the road (a lot) come 2009 and beyond. Nothing beats loading up the bike and getting out on the road, whether it's a week long tour or a day trip to eat lunch somewhere a little different or just go to that special out-of-the-way place.
