Suzuki SV650S Zero Gravity High Profile Touring Windscreen

Zero Gravity High Profile Touring Windscreen
For SV650/S SV1000/S 2003-2008

PROJECT # 3

Being a pretty tall guy at 6'4" I found the stock height of the windscreen was way too low and at speed the air flow would hit about upper chest to neck level. I needed something more suitable for me. I looked around a bit and found that the Zero Gravity Dark Smoke High Profile Touring Windscreen (part # 23-157-19) would probably fit the bill and I could live with the cost of only $87 including s&h.

Swapping out the stock screen for the ZG took about 15-20 minutes. The ZG screen is about half the thickness of the stock one and being 2-3 " higher definitely does not feel as robust. Therefore a little extra care is required when cleaning it, etc. Also the stock screen is moulded to fit at the ends of the fairing outer/inner and the ZG has a 1/8" gap (see here) which is no big drama to me but worth noting none-the-less.

The wind hits at the top of my helmet with the ZG windscreen @ 65mph on the interstate. This is better than the stock screen to some extent. Wind noise is lessened a bit also so I guess it will serve the purpose. Keeping the wind off my chest will certainly help on those cold, cold winter morning rides to work as well as touring.

Replaced with a Suzuki OEM Touring Screen (Project 8)

PROJECT # 4 - Gel Seats (no more aching butts)
